B. Offline Safety

Our Service is designed to make friends and is not intended for meeting in person or for dating, although, we do understand that making new friends can potentially lead to that. If you find yourself in that type of situation, please review the tips below to help keep you safe.

Don’t Rush

Take your time and get to know the other member before agreeing to meet or chat or interact through modes other than Our Service. Don’t be afraid to ask questions to screen for any red flags or personal dealbreakers.

Meet in Public and Stay in Public
Meet the member in a populated, public place – never at your home, his home, or any other private location. If any member pressures you to go to a private location when you have already refused, report them on Our Support Email.

Tell Friends and Family About Your Plans

Tell a friend or family member of Your plans, including when and where you’re going. Make sure Your mobile phone is charged and with You at all times.

Be in Control of Your Transportation

Be in control of Your transportation so that You can leave whenever You want. If You’re driving, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan such as a ride-share app or a friend to pick you up.

Know Your Limits

Be aware of the effects of drugs or alcohol — they can impair Your judgment and Your alertness. Do not let anyone try to pressure You to consume drugs or alcohol. If they continue to do so, call a friend or family member and kindly leave.

Don’t Leave Drinks or Personal Items Unattended

In case you wish to consume alcohol, know where Your drink comes from and know where it is at all times – only accept drinks poured or served directly from the bartender or server. Many substances that are slipped into drinks to facilitate sexual assault are odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Also, keep Your phone, purse, wallet, and anything containing personal information on You at all times.

If You Feel Uncomfortable, Leave

Don’t be afraid to leave if You are feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. If You ever feel unsafe, ask someone nearby for help. If You are in a commercial establishment, it is always best to ask one of the employees in the establishment for help.

Think Before any kind of Physical/Sexual Contact

Our Service is not intended for dating or meeting in person. However, if You develop a romantic relationship with another member, You are advised to take abundant precautions. All physical/sexual contact must be consensual and should include ongoing consent from your partner. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and sexual contact is never owed to anyone. Do not proceed with sexual contact with another member if you or the other member seem uncomfortable or unsure, or if the other member is unable to consent due to the effects of drugs or alcohol. If any member pressures you to make sexual contact when you have already refused or proceeds to make sexual contact without your consent, ask for help and/or leave immediately.
