Making friends on alyke is exciting and full of fun, but you should always be cautious when interacting with new people you are not acquainted with. Always put your safety first and use your best judgement when interacting with other members using our Service or if you decide to meet a member in person.

These Safety Tips will help you take abundant precautions while making friends using Our Service. WE DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONDUCT OF MEMBERS ON OR OFF THE SERVICE. YOU ARE ADVISED TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY TIPS TO HELP YOU STAY SAFE DURING YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH OUR SERVICE.

Unless otherwise defined, the terms used in these Safety Tips have the same meanings as in Our Terms of Use.

A. Online Safety

Never Send Money or Share Financial Information

Never send money to any member even if the member claims to be in an emergency. Never share information that could be used to access your financial accounts. If another member asks you for money, report it to us immediately at Support Email provided below. Protect Your Personal Information

Never share personal information, such as your home or work address, or details about your location or daily routine with other members. If you are a parent, do not share about your children on your profile and while chatting. Avoid sharing details such as your children’s names, where they go to school, or their ages or genders.

Communication using our Service Only

Interact using our Service only while you’re still getting to know other member. People with bad intentions often try to move the conversation to text, messaging apps, email, other social media apps, or phone.

Report All Suspicious and Offensive Behaviour

Avoid interactions with any member who shows suspicious behaviour. Block and report anyone that violates our Terms. Here are some examples of violations:

• Requests for money or donations

• Users below 18 years of age

• Harassment, threats, and offensive messages

• Inappropriate or harmful behaviour during or after meeting in person

• Fraudulent profiles

• Spam or solicitation including links to commercial websites or attempts to sell products or services

Protect Your Account

Always make sure You pick a strong password, and always be careful when logging into Your account from a public or shared computer. We will never send you an email asking for your username and password information – if You receive an email asking for account information, report it immediately by emailing to Support Email provided below.

Always remember to Log out from Our Service if You are not online and using the Service.

Always keep Mobile Application updated.

Change your privacy settings and keep an eye on them from time to time.

Think before you accept a Friend Request

Before You accept a friend request from a member, You should have a look at that member profile – and try to see who he is. Remember:

Sometimes people pretend to be someone they are not, and it’s hard to know if they are telling the truth. You are not obligated or under any pressure to accept random friend requests. Some factors that help eliminate the risk involves includes presence of Mutual Friends. Check your privacy settings so that people you don’t know don’t see any information that you don’t want them to see.
